Who this covers

Your employer (the company that invited you) decides what to track and why, and is responsible for your records. KIOT Communications LLP runs Morning Hive for them and handles your data only to provide the service.

What we collect

• Name, email address, phone number and employee ID
• A selfie photo, taken when you punch in or out
• Precise location while you are on duty or travelling, including in the background during your work hours
• Attendance and leave records
• Device identifier and diagnostic data (app version, crash and error information)
• A push notification token for your device

Location is collected only for work. The app asks for your permission first, and your employer sets which hours and roles are tracked. Outside those hours nothing is recorded.

What we use it for

• Attendance: recording when and where you start and end work
• Payroll: working out pay, leave and deductions
• Field travel claims: the distance and route of work trips
• Security: confirming it is you, and protecting accounts and data

Who sees it, and what we never do

Your data is visible to you and to the people at your employer who are allowed to see it, such as HR and your manager. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We use service providers only to host the service and send notifications, under their own confidentiality duties.

How long we keep it

For as long as your employer instructs. Some payroll and statutory records must be kept by law even after you leave.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Requests go through your employer's HR administrator, because the records belong to them. You can send a deletion request from this page, or write to support@morninghive.com from the email address on your account. You can also turn off location in your phone settings, but then attendance and travel features that need it will not work.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and each company's data is kept apart from other companies'. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect it.
