Birth and Family Information
Satish Kumar was born on 23 June 1992, according to this his age is 25 years. Satish hails from Tamil Nadu, and was born in the village of Satuvichari in Vellore district. His father has also made India proud by winning a gold medal in the National Games, and now he works as a security guard at VIT University Vellore.

Satish Kumar is one of the most successful weightlifters in India. He plays for the 77 kg category. Satish’s sports training is done with the help of Go Sports Foundation. It works under the Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Program.
Although Satish’s first coach was his father. He started training Satish at the age of thirteen. After this Satish started participating in state level competitions. year 2008 Satish took his career to a new height by winning the gold medal.
In the years 2014 and 2018, he had brought laurels to the country by winning gold medals in the Commonwealth Games.
More recently, Satish works as a clerk in the Southern Railway of the Government of India. And apart from this, he also represents India in weightlifting in various foreign grounds. So far, he has won a total of 2 gold medals for India.
