HIGHLIGHTS F1: Sainz seals maiden Grand Prix victory

Carlos Sainz fixed his lady triumph in Formula 1 in a stunning British Grand Prix, surpassing colleague Charles Leclerc to seal a hair-raising triumph at Silverstone.

Subsequent to beginning on post, Sainz pitted from second spot for the delicate tire under the Safety Car – achieved by Esteban Ocon halting on target. He was then ready to surpass Leclerc, prior to proceeding to win the Grand Prix, on his 150th race start in Formula 1.

Leclerc couldn’t clutch runner up, and was at last overwhelmed by Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton, who completed in second and third separately. Behind Leclerc, in fourth, was the Alpine of Fernando Alonso, in P5, in front of Lando Norris in 6th. Max Verstappen needed to manage with harm to his floor, completing in seventh.

It was a first top-10 completion in Formula 1 for Mick Schumacher, as he returned home in eighth, in front of the Aston Martin of Sebastian Vettel in 10th, with Schumacher’s Haas colleague Kevin Magnussen balancing the main 10.

The race was before red hailed after a significant accident including Zhou Guanyu, George Russell, Alex Albon, Pierre Gasly, Sebastian Vettel, Yuki Tsunoda and Ocon.
